The Holidays

Our Christmas time buy the book program table is all set up with new books we hope our library users will buy for our library in honor or in memory of someone special.

And this month’s crafts are simple for storytime such as the holiday wreath. Next week we will make snowmen and the following week is our craft program with a host of gifts to buy and stuff to make. It will be great fun!

The last two weeks of December we are taking a break from programs.

October is over

October is over but we had some great fun at the library. My co-worker Karen does a monthly craft time and last month she had the children painting pumpkins.

And last week for Friday storytime we made paper plate scarecrows.

Also, on Friday I had my monthly visit to an Early Head Start program where we sang songs and rhymes and read a short boardbook for read together time. Then I handed out laminated shapes with 3 of the songs and rhymes along with one of the 6 pre-reading skills hole punched and held together with an adjustable metal ring so more can be added next time.

Masks

This week we made masks for our summer craft program on Wednesday and at the preschool

storytime on Friday. Lots of glue, feathers, stickers, random parts like puzzle pieces and

buttons. On Friday we read Duck on a Bike and When the Elephant walks.
